FOUNDERS

As founders, we knew firsthand how amazing a dance-infused workout can make you both feel and look. We met one summer, then bonded quickly over our mutual love of dance—and of our desire to sculpt our bodies. We’d pour a glass of wine (or two), and discuss how to make our butts higher, our thighs thinner, our abs flatter, etc., etc.. These conversations were as serious as they were ridiculous, until—by fall—we realized that we already had the solution…and couldn’t wait to share it with NYC.

 

So we created a space for both dancers and non-dancers alike to obtain a DanceBody: aspirational, beautiful, and certain.

 

Share this with anyone willing to drop the “I’m not a dancer” mentality, and move in a way they never have before.

We are passionate about having fun with our workouts, pushing ourselves, and enjoying the process.

We are serious about getting people outside their comfort zones to achieve unprecedented results.

We crave authenticity, and don’t do BS.

We are strict without being restrictive.

We live life to the fullest, and want to look good doing it.

We work out to live; we don’t live to workout.

Most importantly, we want to be happy. Dancing makes us happy.

Katia Pryce

Katia Pryce is the Co-Founder of DanceBody. As a personal trainer and professional dancer, Katia has been motivating clients to attain their best possible "dancebody" in NYC since 2009. Fusing years of dance with her love for high intensity fitness, Katia created DanceBody classes in 2013 with the personal mission of helping her clientele achieve their best possible levels of fitness, body confidence, and self awareness…using a dancer’s moves! She started training clients privately, and word of mouth spread. DanceBody became a full-fledged movement, blossoming into a full schedule of classes in both NYC and the Hamptons.

 

A Detroit native, Katia's athletic dance style is a carefully crafted blend of movement techniques ranging from classical ballet to hardcore Hip Hop. She began working professionally in 2005 as a dancer, singer, and actress. Once settled in New York City, Katia lent her energetic talents to the fitness scene as a highly sought trainer at Tracy Anderson Method, Bari Studio, and other fitness studios around the city. Katia is currently a CosmoBody trainer for the CosmoBody app featuring on demand workouts, where she showcases her DanceBody workouts for those not living in New York area.

 

Celina Belizan

Celina Belizan is the Co-Founder of DanceBody.  With an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a Graduate degree in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics, she is as passionate about the business side of the fitness industry as she is about working up a good sweat.

Celina built her career working on emerging business models.  From high-level consulting to strategy and development, she’s helped startups and corporations grow and flourish.  Most recently she was CEO of Jivamukti International, a beloved global yoga center.  Prior, Celina served as COO of Appy Couple, a wedding app that she helped catapult from an incubator to 1M users.  Celina has been very active in NYC’s entrepreneurial community working in venture investing as well as an operating partner at Entrepreneurs Roundtable.

Celina’s drive for business is matched by her love for fitness, her growing family and her desire for a killer DanceBody.
